Guyana Photo Galleries
The first gallery was contributed by John O'Connor. The photos were taken by John in Guyana over the last several years where he was a volunteer professor. Thanks so much John! (posted October 2006)
The second gallery was contributed by Tim Smellie. Tim was born in British Guiana, his great grandfather having come out from Scotland in 1835. His great grandfather on his mother's side, was Dutch from Surinam who married into the Austin family, one of whom was Bishop of Guiana in the 1800s. He has shared with us many fantastic photos, both historical and current. Our most sincere thanks and appreciation to Tim - we shall enjoy his photos and memories of Guyana very much.
