Oct. 27, 2017: Added transcriptions of the 1867 List of Jurors (Demerara only) from the 1867 BG Directory & Diary to the Transcriptions/ Directories page. Book submitted by Bernard Abraham of the UK.

Oct. 22, 2017: Added transcriptions of the 1870 Listing of Estates/plantations from the 1870 BG "Directory and Diary" as it was entitled in 1870. Scans of this book and several others were from Bernard Abraham of the UK - Thank you so much Bernard!

2015 Oct 18, 2015: Revised the "Researcher's List" to exclude those with no email contact address provided because those listings defeat the .purpose of getting new contacts to further one's ancestor search;.

Oct 4, 2015: Thanks to Riccardo Gomes for finding and reporting the online copies of the Official Gazette of British Guiana and for letting us know so we can share in this resource. Posted to the "Research" tab.

May 6, 2015: Added some links to the General Links page,and added a note to the BG Almanaks page reporting the directories held by the Guyana National

March 9, 2015: Added two names to researchers list; fixed links for Justices of the Peace lists on "Occupations" page.

February 24, 2015: Thanks to Lisa Booth's very hard work, posted very large data files of Births, Deaths, Marriage & Misc. of Guyana affiliated persons as recorded in British Newspapers - primarily dated in the 1800s. (Found on Vital Records page, under Transcriptions). Also posted a page of links of other websites which have recognized our website and the value of these posted records (on Home Page).

August 5, 2015: Added names to Researcher's List; added link to the website of the General Register Office, Republic of Guyana

2014 June 26, 2014: Added transcription of an 1896 Essequibo Area Census to the Transcriptions>Miscellaneous page, with photo of sample page of source; submitted by Bernard Abraham and John Henderson. Also, changed photos on home page and added a link for the ProBoard "Forum" help guide page.

June 14, 2014: Added photos of mid 1940s Georgetown Golf Club members, submitted by Nicola MacIntyre - to it's own page, "GolfClubs.htm" which is accessed through Transcriptions - Miscellaneous - Georgetown Golf Club. Added Nicola's name to list of contributors to this site on home page.

April 8, 2014: Added transcription file "Irish Probates 1858-1920" to the Miscelleanous page. Added other miscelleanous files to that page which were somehow left off when files were redone previously. Added a link on the home page to Eric Downer's account of his recent travel to Guyana to do genealogical research.

March 20, 2014: Updated internet links on most pages of the website; deleted those links which are no longer online and updated addresses for others.
